About

Who I Am

I am William Kipkurui Byegon, a leader, certified accountant, and farmer from Kericho County, Kenya. My life has been dedicated to public service and the development of our communities in Kapsoit Ward and the wider Ainamoi Constituency.

Born and raised in Kapsoit, I understand the challenges and aspirations of ordinary Kenyans. My background in accounting gives me the skills to champion transparent governance, while my farming roots keep me grounded in the realities our people face every day.

Political Career

My political journey began in 2006 when I was elected Councillor for Kapsoit Ward. I contested again in 2007, gaining valuable experience and building strong ties with the electorate.

In 2013, the people of Kapsoit Ward entrusted me with their mandate as Member of the County Assembly (MCA). I served through 2017, focusing on education bursaries, infrastructure development, and agricultural support programmes for local farmers.

UDA Party

I am a proud member of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party. I believe in the bottom-up economic model that empowers hustlers, farmers, and small business owners across Kenya. The UDA vision aligns with my commitment to grassroots development and economic inclusion.

Looking Ahead to 2027

As we approach the 2027 elections, I remain committed to serving the people of Kapsoit Ward and Kericho County with integrity, accountability, and a clear vision for development. I believe in leadership that listens, plans, and delivers.
